INSPECTION
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1)
| (a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance: |
Tester Connection | Condition |

1 (HA1A) - 2 (+B) |
20°C (68°F) | 1.6 to 3.2 Ω | |
1 (HA1A) - 4 (A1A-) |
Always | 10 kΩ or higher |
If the result is not as specified, replace the air fuel ratio sensor. |

2. INSPECT AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2)
| (a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Installation
INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1)
HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the air fuel ratio sensor.

| (a) Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor to the exhaust manifold assembly RH (TWC: Front Catalyst).
SST: 09224-00012 Torque: Specified tightening torque :
44 N·m {449 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf} NOTICE: If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
HINT:

(b) Engage the 2 wire harness clamps.
(c) Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
2. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2)
HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the air fuel ratio sensor.

| (a) Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor to the exhaust manifold assembly LH (TWC: Front Catalyst).
SST: 09224-00012 Torque: Specified tightening torque :
44 N·m {449 kgf·cm, 32 ft·lbf} NOTICE: If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

(b) Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
(c) Engage the wire harness clamp.
3. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

4. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK

5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing an air fuel ratio sensor.

installed, or replaced during air fuel ratio sensor removal/installation
are shown below.

PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2)
| (a) Disengage the wire harness clamp. | |
(b) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
| (c) Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold assembly LH (TWC: Front Catalyst).
SST: 09224-00012 NOTICE: If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it. |

3. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1)
| (a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector. | |
(b) Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.
| (c) Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold assembly RH (TWC: Front Catalyst).
SST: 09224-00012 NOTICE: If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it. |
